Keavin Keith, a former teacher at Iberville Math, Science and Arts Academy-West and a former Iberville Parish teacher of the year, pleaded no contest in February 2016 to five counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and 30 counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student, involving three students. On May 11, 2016 he was sentenced to two years in prison and five years of supervised probation.
