Eugene Ballantyne, a former teacher at Arrowview Middle School in San Bernardino, pleaded guilty in July 2012 to a federal count of attempting to entice a minor to engage in illicit sexual activity. Prosecutors said he obtained sexually explicit images from several minors, including a 15-year-old former student. He was sentenced on Feb. 10, 2014, to 120 months in federal prison.
