Brian Floss, a third-grade teacher at Wallace Elementary School in Fordyce, Arkansas, pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual assault of one of his students and was convicted in state court in February 2003. He received a 15-year prison sentence and was paroled in February 2016. He later pleaded guilty to a federal sex-offender registration offense and was sentenced to 36 months in prison; the Eighth Circuit affirmed in July 2022.
