Matthew Puterbaugh, a former music teacher and band director at Dover Intermediate School in the Dover Area School District, pleaded guilty in federal court and was sentenced on May 20, 2015 to 15 years in prison for production of child pornography. He is also serving 5 to 10 years on state charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault involving a student. The district later agreed to a $1.2 million settlement with the woman he abused.
