David Kruchten, a business teacher at Madison East High School, secretly placed hidden cameras in students' hotel rooms during school trips in 2019. He pleaded guilty in federal court to attempting to produce obscene depictions of minors and transporting minors with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct. On Oct. 22, 2021, he was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison and 20 years of supervised release.
